Judge Angels. When?

I Cor. 6:3
3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Does anyone know when and how we shall judge angels? For what purpose?

A friend of mine is going through I Cor. in his Bible study group. He asked me for help and I had no answer. Can anyone help?

Obviously this verse is referring to the world to come, i.e., Heaven. If we will be judging angels, that implies we will be over them and not "a little lower than" they are. I have always advocated that we will have God-like powers in Heaven, such as the ability to move freely through time and space. Since angels seem to possess those qualities already, this verse seems to confirm my idea.
