There is nothing phoney in what I said. Obama is a member of a church that expouses liberation theology. That is a documented fact. Talk about rascits. Yellow Dog Democrats don't even come close to the twisted race baiting theology of that group. And, as far as needing racists to win, the yellow dogs have been voting for democrats for years and years. Funny how they weren't racists until now. Jimmy Carter nor Bill Clinton would have won without their votes. Thank God a good number of them have died off or wised up.

Come on, Ken, that's a low blow. You ought to have seen enough of my posts to know I think for myself...but...um....Teddy Kennedy isn't exactly David (you know, the man after God's own heart).

    There's no need for perjoratives.

So what? The election is about candidates, not churches.

Using your logic that will mean less folks to vote for McCain in November.

Yes, it is very important. It gives a picture of what Obama really believes. otherwise, he would denouce what his pastor preaches and teaches. Of couse, from all the other posts I've read you love to bait and debate. Have fun!!

Yeah, I do enjoy debating right-wingers, and others, about politics. You seem to like to debate yourself. Welcome to the board. :)

Obama's religious beliefs are irrelevant. He is running for POTUS, not pastor.

A person's religious beliefs are never irrelevant.

    Never.

That's because he doesn't have one.

I understood what you were trying to say. You just used a poor illustration.

    David repented. Kennedy didn't.
David paid a price for his sin. Kennedy hasn't.

How do you know who has repented and who hasn't?

Do you keep records for the Holy Spirit?

In the context of a political election they certainly are.

I'd be happy to accept an endorsement from Ted Kennedy, but not a ride home in his car...

    (Sorry, I'll get my coat...)

No, but when no public apology is ever given (and the issue is avoided), that's a good indication.

We know David repented. Scripture tells us.
