From 2012 during riots in Sydney in response to the short film Innocence of Muslims which is a controversial short film for various reasons and was meant to be inflammatory to Islam.

A Jordanian mum who recently moved to Australia prior to the photo, apparently with poor english skills, unwisely brought her children to the protest and claims she did not understand the placard she told her child to pick up for what she thought would be a cute photo.

She voluntarily turned herself into police to be investigated by child services who cleared her of any intentional wrongdoing.

The photo and riots in general were denounced by the Australian Muslim community at large.

I don't buy it.

I don't buy it.

Maybe she is lying about not understanding the placard initially. But she seems remorseful about the whole incident and this is what she said she thought of the sign after the fact to the Daily Telegraph.

"I did not think there would be bad signs like that."

If she is lying (and I believe she is) then it negates the rest of that.
