This is the 50th year since the 1967 war reclaiming Jerusalem, so I watch Israel with excitement! Lately in the news there have been increasing articles and talks about the Knesset reclaiming the temple mount by promoting the Jewish connection to the temple mount, allowances for prayers and so forth. This comes amidst the recent denial by the UN as to any historical Jewish ties to the mount (despite the flood of archaeological finds lately proving otherwise).
Here is a reference to the recent news: For First Time, Government Seeks to Strengthen Official Connection to Temple Mount
In addition, there is still mention of President Trump moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
One location under consideration I heard was at the intersection of Hebron Road and Daniel Yanovski St. This location, under 2 miles southwest of the temple mount, is located at:
Latitude: 31.7567
Longitude 35.2236
If you're a "Google maps" fan like I am you can copy and paste those numbers into the search bar (separate the numbers by a comma) to find it. It's about 2 miles southwest of the temple mount. One of the considerations regarding the embassy is the location. Depending where it is placed will have different amounts of protests from various groups. For example, too far into the old city will have the Arabs and/or Palestinians upset. This area is safer in that it's within the 1949 Armistice Agreement Line yet shows that America acknowledges Jerusalem as the capital.
This definitely calls for the mandate to "watch and pray" as the temple mount/3rd temple is a major prophetic indicator.
