Thanks you for pointing that out. It is important she is associated with the average blue collar American if she is to benefit McCain and overshadow his $5 million comment.

When people say that the only reason he was nominated is because he's Black.

After all didn't Hillary have the MOST VOTES?

    But he swooned the delegates.

Only because she ran in two big states (MI and FL) where Obama did not run because the DNC told them they broke the rules and would not count.

He got the delegates fair and square - he is the rightful nominee.

Also, unfortunately our political process is not based on popular vote. He won more delegates despite her winning the popular vote. This same thing happened in Gore vs Bush.

Well then I guess you haven't been listen.

Maybe that's why you're voting for him?

In talking about the power of hope, Obama also stepped outside of himself to take a look at his own candidacy in which his race could be a handicap if he were to run as the first African-American president.

"I'm a black guy running for president named Barack Obama. I must be hopeful."

Too many Christian conservatives think that politics determines whether one is a Christian, or at least a "good" Christian.

It is flat out wrong to do so.

No, but your political beliefs are are pretty reflection of where you are spiritually. If you support ungodly policies then , probably, you are ungodly also.

If you believe and respect the teachings of the bible then your life should reflect that, even in politics.

Your actions (who you support) speak louder than words.

    I totally, 100%, disagree.

The Bible is not a political handbook. It is a book that describes God's work in redeeming his universe, especially mankind, after The Fall in the Garden of Eden.

Wow - that is quite a charge.

I guess first we would have to decide what is 'ungodly.'

I can read, and the Bible says that murder and disrespect for the life that God creates is ungodly.

I dont decide what is ungodly, God did when He inspired the Bible.

Yes, Roger, I am curious as to what AJ thinks is the "ungodly" position to take on an issue like a sales tax increase to build a new high school and a sales tax increase to build a conference center and promote the city like we voted on here last year.

You know what? For a moderator on a baptist forum you sure do have some radical, unbaptist comments.

Do you believe the literal Word of God or not?

    I still question MI...

HOw did the DNC have the wisdom to equally divide the votes that went to Hillary and give half of them to Obama?

How do they know Obama would have had that many votes?

Obama is the nominee because it was orchestrated through the DNC...

Votes mean nothing anymore in America.

If I voted for Hillary in MI, and they gave my vote to Obama.. I would be furious!

Those issues are a matter of personal opinion and not biblical principle like abortion and gay marriage are. Do you throw out biblical principles if you want to build a new high school or conference center?

Regardless of the popular vote, tt, no one had enough pledged delegates to win the nomination so the super delegates decided it. I don't like those rules but a party has the right to set its own rules.

That question does not even merit a response.

So you can't answer the question, AJ? I am not surprised. Too many Christian conservatives want to use the abortion and homosexual marriage issues to bang other people, even fellow Christians, over the head with.

By the way, I reject the idea that to be a "good" Christian, that because of the abortion and homosexual marriage issues, that I have to vote for Senator McCain, a man whom I do not trust to be the president of my country.
