I never judged your giving... I was referring to supporting policies or a candidate that are not friendly to biblical principles of caring for the poor.

The bible never tells governments what to give. That is a job of the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Taking my money & giving it to the American genocide of Black children, is that biblical ? In fact, it PREVENTS me from our ability to give.

It's not how much you give, but the spirit in which you give it. God honored the poor woman's pittance more than the Pharisee's extravagant gifts. He was glorified by the poor woman. Obama & you can take all my money, but the spirit in which you spread it around may be frustrated by the Allmighty.

Whoa, whoa, whoa... I'm not in the "thousand posts club," but I can give you my first impressions. "Just Christian" is the one who creates or parrots ridiculous accusations to support his seething hatred of our former president. He is the one who ignores Biblical proofs in favor of conspiracy theories.

Its not like this is new either... I've seen several people respond to his posts to ask for proof and chastising him when he ignores them... but he never changes his ways.

We may be called on not to cast the first stone, or pick on others' specks, but this is not the case here. We are certainly allowed to chastise a straying brother

    Carry on Curtis.

Doesn't God do the chastising? He is our Father.

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Amen, to that Bro. Curtis. The libs on here consistently overlook the fact and it is documented and has been documented on this board several times that the most giving to the poor is done by conservative evangelical Christians - those who believe life is precious inside the womb and after the womb. Not only do we give to our local congregations, we also support humanitarian efforts through various ministries in our cities, in our country, and across the world. That's the way it has been for decades and the way it continues to be. Despite all their condemnation of conservatives and all the hyperbole, the left is too busy "saving the planet" to care about the people on the planet or those who might otherwise be born on the planet, IMHO.

I think the biblical standards of church discipline would fit in this cyber-ministry. Why should we allow purposeful discord ?

I was going to say... A quick read through Thessalonians will show that God chastens errant Christians THROUGH His family... Check out 2 Thess 3:13-15

EDIT - Among many, MANY other passages saying the same thing

2nd EDIT - If you read the verses preceding those quoted by lebuick, you'll see that the passage actually refers to the hostility of sinners against believers, and has nothing to do with one brother in Christ correcting another.

I'm one of the few here that provide facts. I don't know what you're talking about. Proof?

What he's trying to do is support peace rather than war in the world as your favorite George Bush did. That's not the Christian objective or do you care?

Lack of combat is not the definition of peace.

Obviously you don't pay attention to what people post around here. George Bush was never my favorite and I do care about Christian objectives. Your posts are hit and run and lack substance, a bit tiring.

BTW, still waiting for proof of Rush lies.....

What peace at any price? Peace through surrender? Is that what your advocating?

You know I find it interesting JC, your avatar is a picture of Mel Gibson from the movie Braveheart. What do you think William Wallace's policy would be toward Islamic Terrorism?

Are Christians ONLY to be passionate about the murder of innocent babies or are their other pages in God's word?

Maybe the natives didn't plant trees in all the places we have. Seems pretty simple, to me. You haven't proved, or disproved anything.
