Can't see any interaction between the person getting jabbed with the cart and the adult standing behind the kid. Person getting jabbed should have complained to the adult, eventually giving an ultimatum, 'Control this kid or I will take action." If that was said I don't have a problem with the action taken except I would have made the adult behind the kid the recipient, not the kid.

Wondering if this is staged? Who puts a camera at knee level in a grocery store? And just happened to get this incident?

I just hope the guy paid for the milk. Other than that, as presented, I really can't see a problem with this. Maybe I would have dumped some on her, as well. She had to know what was going on. When the guy turns around, the kid is looking right at him.

Understand the feeling, but he should have resisted the urge. He could be charged with assault.

Most judges wouldn't care at all that the parent wouldn't control or discipline their child. They're too used to it.
