Notice that Dr. Soon does not deny that global warming is happening. He just fudges his research to say nature not man is the reason. After all his money is coming from the fossil fuel industry which he failed to note as required by ethical standards.

A Kangar-born astrophysicist took money in exchange for writing allegedly doubtful reports on climate change, the international media has claimed.

In a New York Times report, Dr Willie Wei-Hock Soon was alleged to have received more than US$1.2mil (RM4.36mil) from the fossil fuel industry over the past decade.

The report added that Dr Soon, who claimed that global warming was linked more to the sun than human factors, failed to report these contributions in his research.

"At least 11 papers he has published since 2008 omitted such a disclosure, and in at least eight of those cases, he appears to have violated ethical guidelines of the journals that published his work," the report claimed.

Portland authorities signaled on Friday that they will no longer continue to investigate charges made against former Vice President Al Gore stemming from allegations he groped a licensed massage therapist in 2006.

1. Ms. Hagerty, who has red hair, states she called Mr. Gore immediately following the alleged incident and told him to "dream of redheaded women" seemingly in contradiction to her assertions that she was terrified of Mr. Gore. Two days after the alleged incident Ms. Hagerty also sent an email to the Hotel Lucia stating that she appreciated the business referrals she received from the hotel. She did not mention any problem with Mr. Gore;

2. Witnesses at the hotel where the alleged incident occurred state they do not remember seeing or hearing anything unusual---directly contradicting Ms. Hagerty's published claim in the July 12, 2010 of the National Enquirer that she was "shaking and in shock" and "rushed down the hall and to the lobby where the front desk clerk noticed she was upset was asked if she was OK";

3. Forensic testing of pants retained by Ms. Hagerty as possible evidence are negative for the presence of seminal fluid;

4. Ms. Hagerty has not provided as repeatedly requested medical records she claims are related to the case;

5. Ms. Hagerty has also failed to provide other records related to the case;
6. Ms. Hagerty failed a polygraph examination;
7. It appears Ms. Hagerty was paid by the National Enquirer for her story; and
8. Mr. Gore voluntarily met with detectives and denied all of the allegations.

Really, if you are using the Enquirer as a source for factual information, then you have more issues than I originally thought.

What I don't understand about you is why you make personal attacks when someone disagrees with you. I thought the purpose of a message board was debate. As you very well know, I quoted Daniel Greenfield on this issue, and my source was linked. Why don't you stop your personal attacks and debate? It doesn't bother me when someone disagrees with me--I try to persuade them.

It's your job to persuade us that Al Gore does not belong in the same category as the UN guy.
