    A man told today how he was shot three times in a London street for wearing a Barack Obama T-shirt.

    Dube Egwuatu was buying a mobile telephone top-up card in an off-licence when the gunman confronted him and glared at the top, which carries an image of the Democrat US presidential candidate underneath the legend 'Believe'.

    The man then launched into a tirade of racist slurs, shouting 'I f***ing hate n*****s' and urging 36-year-old Mr Egwuatu to leave the shop with him.

    Sad people like this still exist but unfortunately this won't ever change. There will always be prejudice. I pray for his soul.

    Yes, yes they are. Guns were banned in London, in 1997. This could not have happened.

    Reminds me of the saying, "If guns are banned, then only criminals will have guns."

    Anyway it was just an ole' BB gun.
    Look at the "wounds" in the photo.

    My guess is that qualifies him for disability for life.

    Such a weapon can be dangerous. I killed a rabbit with one BB from about 40 feet. I realize that a rabbit is much smaller than a man, but what if he had shot him in the eye?

    That's the smae question my momma used to ask after I had a BB gun fight with my friends. There wer many of them.

    It was great fun, even though I got "shot" more than once.

    ok, this guy is a nut and not rational from the get-go. There are nuts all over the place at all extremes. Praying for him is what we can do.

    I hate that the guy got shot, BUT I did open the thread expecting to find a DEAD person and not one who could tell about his experience.

    So, if I am to understand some of the posters of this thread... it's ok since it was only a BB gun? :rolleyes:


    I think shooting anyone because of the hate of others is wrong no matter who is was that got shot or is doing the shooting and with what they were shooting..

    I know there will be excuses and rolling of the eyes at me and my posts... it's ok.. "shoot" away... I will still think it's wrong.

    It does sound like that. I'm sure glad it wasn't ME shot. OUCH!

    But I still was surprised he was alive based on the title and that may be where part of this comes from - just a guess . . .

    I didn't get that, but I guess it's a good point.

    But the title of this thread is a joke, and it's pretty dishonest, so I think what you saw was people poking fun at Ken, not the traumatized Londoner.
