Man stands for 7-hour flight

That's on a plane. Here in the Mainland it's not uncommon for folks to stand much longer on trains. One of my adult students said he stood for 14 hours on a train trip to his hometown. Now that is just unimaginable.

Not positive but my understanding it is against the law to stand on a plane during take off and landing. I smell a lawsuit.

It seems to me that there is more to this story than is being told.

If I was in this gentleman's situation, I'd simply refuse to raise the armrests next to me and if the fat guy can't fit, too bad for him.
