The following is a ministry that we developed and have implemented at our church. We call it MET. And it stands for Master's Evangelism Teams. We did the study Share Jesus Without Fear and we signed up 21 people to be a part of these teams. Thus we have 7 teams of 3 people. We have asked that each team committ to go out on evangelism visits 2 times a month. There is no offical night for visitation as we have discovered it doesn't work in our church, as there are 200 other things to be doing other nights of the week. So it is a very flexible schedule with each team determining when they can go out and do the visits. We are collecting names of families and individuals that need a visit, plus we are asking them to go and do cold visits as well. Then every few weeks we are going to have a testimony service to share what is happening in our visits.

Any thoughts or comments....it may not be the best system, but we knew we needed to do something.

It sounds good and interesting. I like your comment: "Then every few weeks we are going to have a testimony service to share what is happening in our visits." This would seem to be important to the 7 teams. Thanks, Mr. Messy.

We are just getting our system in place and I am trying to stay on top of our teams to keep them motivated to be going out in the community to reach lost folks instead of them wanting to go and only visit older church members and/or shut-ins?

At our church we use the G.R.O.W. SYSTEM. This stands for God rewards our work. The class lasted about Six weeks I think. This system ask that you commit to one week a month. Each letter stands for a week and there is a team captain for each team. the months with five weeks the chour takes care of this week. Works very well but it is hard to keep people involved.
