I didn't see who Keith paid money to . If it was a liberal I would think MSNBc would have had no problem with it. However if he paid motey to say Sarah Palin or Mike Huckabee then they would have a big problem.

I am shocked, shocked I say to see that Olberman gave money to advance his clearly stated left wing positions... next they'll say that rachel maddow is really a closet conservative.

A serious question, is there some left leaning radio network that will snap Olberman up and give him 3 hours?

Olbermann's ego will cause him to ask for a ridiculous salary.

And no leftist station that I'm aware of makes much of a profit.

He'll probably end up on NPR, and we'll pay his salary.

After reading about this--I knew Olbermann was a jerk and a hypocrite--but the breadth of his hypocrisy is astounding.

He has railed innumerable times about Fox News being the "republican" channel--and how they "shamelessly support" GOP candidates with money.

Physician, heal thyself.

Wait...on the other hand...don't. It's too much fun watching you make a fool of yourself.

Is Keith Olbermann fired or only suspended? If only suspended I would expect him to be back on the air on MSNBC before long.

Let me think about this.

I never watch the KO show -(dont get cable) but I understand he (and his network) is liberal. So if he were to give $$ to a conservative candidte (even a relative) that would look bad for the network. As one of my basic political platforms is that an employer should be able to hire and fire and employee they deem necessary; I would back up their policy.

Suppose Bryant Wright, president of the Southern Baptist Convention were to send a large donation to the Roman Catholic Church - we would have a problem, wouldnt we?

I rarely agree with KO about anything. But I say, put him back on. At the very least we always know where he's coming from.

These so-called unbiased news folks from the mainstream media pretend to be so, but are not. And their biases show, despite their protestations that they're not partisan.

MSNBC is a cable network that gets terrible ratings, limiting the revenue they take in through commercials. KO's salary is undoubtedly the most expensive non-essential item on their balance sheet. Maybe it's just a coincidence. Or maybe this is the first step toward scratching off that item. We shall see...

Putting his money where they knew his mouth is. Why is that a problem?

I believe his firing is gross network hypocrisy.

The good news is that hypocritical MSNBC will have the neurotic Olberman back on camera Tuesday.

They just couldn't live without him.

Neither could all 26 of his fans.

When they get him back, that should vault MSNBC up in the ratings, rocketing past re-runs of "groovy rock" infomercials by Time-Life music.

Oberman is nothing short of crass.

He is a really really mean and apparently unhappy guy.

There doesn't seem to be much joy in his existence.

judging by the tone of your postings, the pot just called the kettle black!

Anyway, I'm glad KO is back!
