i guess it depends on your definition of "Missions Trip"
    -----

i know i'm going to go work as a camp counsellor at a summer camp - could that be considered a type of missions trip?

and the trip - biking down along the coast - that's kind of a missions trip...

umm - but to officially go either with ywam or any other ministry specifically for missions or church missions? no i'm not going on any of those kinds.

    :p

    God bless!

p.s. i do plan to go do a dts with ywam... but i havn't a clue when... except i know it's not this year...

Congratulations, bapmom! I've been wondering how that turned out! May you be done with deputation and over here soon. Tell your hubby I know a Christian guy in Okinawa who does deep sea fishing as well as fishing for souls. (See my fish on our website.)

Thanks! I'll check it out! Rich would enjoy looking into that, too, I think..

We're going to try to borrow my in-laws pop-up trailer and take all the kids with us travelling this summer for deputation....now that's exciting! lol

I think I'll take a missions trip tomorrow. I'll go to a neighborhood and get out some Japanese tracts, hoping for a chance to witness. I'll then go to the church and prepare for a cross-cultural Mother's Day service on Sunday. Patty is making special bread as a present for each mother.

In the evening I'll go down to the "Shopping Park" outdoor mall downtown with my co-worker for street evangelism. We'll pass out Japanese tracts and hopefully get the chance for some cross-cultural evangelism with young people or families going home from the train station after a trip or drunks or maybe prostitutes or businessmen about to get drunk. Life on a permanent missions trip! Anyone want to come? :jesus:

We have a group coming from Ohio next month - 4 adults & 7 teens. They will pass out literature, participate in services, be involved in open-air ministry, play music and testify at an old folks home, church coffee morning and youth activities. We will, of course, have some time for site seeing.

It will be a busy time for me as I will be doing all the driving as well as overseeing many of the activities. Please pray!

I just got rained out from a mission trip. I go out witnessing everyday. last Sunday a friend and I saw and heard 32 people receive the Lord Jesus Christ and ask the Lord into their lives to save there souls. Yesterday I had ten people do the same thing. Also the evangelist my friend and I established in Mexico is going great guns seeing many Indians in the mountains around Chihuahua Mexico accept the Lord.:jesus: In our ministry here we are presently giving away popcorn at public parks and on the streets.Although we will have only been doing this two months I can report great success so for.
