Gina and I were talking not too long ago and we want to know who you all think is better, Mark Lowry or Fernando Ortega?

Can't wait to see your response.

    In Christ's gracious love,
    Teresa

    P.S.

Mark Lowry leads by one because I'm starting and voting for Mark.

    :D :D

Fernanado Ortega! He's the bestest! Have you ever heard "Oh Thou In Whose Presence"? You just stop wherever you are and listen in holy worship of such a great God.
    Beat THAT Lowry! [IMG]

Comparing Fernando Ortega and Mark Lowry is like comparing apples and oranges! The two are in totally different categories, and they're both great at what they do.

Fernando has a light acoustic, folk/contemporary sound. His voice is pleasant and soothing.

Mark has a very nice voice, but his style tends toward southern /contemporary most of the time.

They're both great! And Mark, in concert, is one of the funniest people I've ever seen. Actually, Fernando is pretty funny too, but in a more dry-wit kind of way. Mark is a clown.

Looks like Mark and Fernando are tied at two each. Who will be the final winner?

I agree with Elizabeth-you can't compare the two. I like them both. My favorite songs by Mark Lowry are Mary Did you Know, Rest in the Arms, For just a glimpse of you, What a Savior he is, and Baby, baby, Why not Me? My favorites by Fernando Ortega are Give me Jesus and Lord of Eternity

a better comparision would be Mark Lowery and Chonda Pierce....now I certainly have a tough time choosing between the two....could you imagine if they had gotton married and had kids? Whoa....what a household that would be lol.

Well Teresa, looks like they aren't going for it. Since I'm older than you and have more posts I win! :D
    Just kiddin'!
How about they're both equally talented, in different ways, and since they both honor God with their music, how can we compare which one is better? ;)
It's ALL good! Fair enough? [IMG]
    da Gina!
(PS. Ortega has a REALLY good salsa too! [IMG])

Think what you may, Gina, Mark will always have music and comedy while Fernando Ortega will be left to his little music.

I agree, Mark Lorwy and Fernando Ortega are two men blessed by God to bring us music, but my favorite will always be Mark Lowry, besides, Mark's a very good role-model for kids with ADHD.

I give up, I'm gonna go listen to one of my 50,000 Brickman CD's. [IMG] Hey, since it's almost Christmas, I'll put on "The Gift". PLEASE tell me you all know that one!

    Gina,
I think that I might have played that song on my piano. I played the arrangement by Anothony Burger.

Looks like more people are for Mark, only one of course, so does that mean that I win?

    Love Jim Brickman! [IMG]

May I also suggest,Gina, Chris Rice's "The Living Room Sessions." Chris is a Christian singer who also plays the piano beautifully, and this is an instrumental CD of him playing hymns. It's lovely.

not really. Chris Rice is an awesome singer and is also a youth pastor.

May God's blessing fall upon you all this holiday season.
