Could 2018 Be the Year?

On May 14, 2018, Israel will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Jewish nation. 70 is clearly one of several numbers that have special significance in the Bible (Jacob took 70 people to Egypt; Israel spent 70 years in Babylon; There are 70 weeks of Daniel; 70 members of the Sanhedrin, etc.).
It seems logical that 2018 could be a significant year in the history of Israel. I cannot predict the future, but two startling events are shaping up.
First, Pres. Trump clearly intends to release a peace proposal in 2018; and one startling fact about this is the likelihood that Israel, most of the Arabs, and the PA will come to some kind of agreement.

For Jesus' time, re-gathering of the Jews was the future event. It happened in 1948 AD. The generation born in 1948 will be still ALIVE when Jesus will come again in His Second Coming. This is crucial to understand.
The Biblical Lifespan of One Generation is 70 Years I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.".
Our days may come to seventy years,
or eighty, if our strength endures;

Not if you read the Genealogy of Jesus.14 Generations. A generation is usually taken as 40 years.
- Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

It was late last night when I posted that. I should have said From Babylon to Christ was about 559 years. 559/14 = 39.92, more of less 40. But a bit less if you take it to the birth of Jesus
