Mom who dumped newborn in New York garbage chute looking for work as home health aide

NEW YORK – A Brooklyn judge was left stunned after a mom who dumped her newborn down a garbage chute said she was looking for work as a home health aide.

Laquasia Wright must hold down a job as part of a deal in which she pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child -- but Justice Patricia DiMango was stumped by her career choice.

"That's probably the least appropriate job for her," DiMango told Wright and her attorney. "It defies logic. I don't think it's the best choice.

That makes as much sense as letting a pedophile work in a school. Instead of looking for work, she should be serving time for attempted murder of a newborn.
