My Daughter in CULT! Help!

    Sorry, I should not 'hijack' this thread with discussion of general topics.

    verna, I hope you find a way to help your daughter out of this group, that sounds way too controlling :( I have no idea how to approach a situation like yours - I have no experience with it. Oh, actually, I know a man locally you could write to who runs a ministry that provides help with cults. Here is his website:

    Midwest Outreach

    Please write to them (at [email protected]), regardless of whether you are in the Midwest or not. I think they may well be able to give you some information about what to do when a loved one is in a 'cult'. Or you can talk to them if you call the number on that page. They are an evangelical (born-again) Christian group whose theology is much like Baptist theology. They might even have specific information about the group your daughter is with; but if not, they understand the mentality of cults so they can probably give you some ideas about what to do.

    Im sorry to hear about your daughter. I pray that the blinders will be removed from eyes.

    Does anyone know anything about this cult? I looked on the internet for more info on the "Ekklesia of Jesus Christ" but have found none. Has anyone else found anything?
