My mom has always tried to be Christ like and a good church person, etc. I don't want to put words in her mouth, but last night she realized she has never been a sinner, that is, she has never realized she is a sinner. When she thought she was saved when she was a kid, she was scared of going to hell, but she never realized that she herself was a sinner. This had been bugging her for a while and the fact that she didn't remember how old she was (she knew within a few years when it happened).
So last night she realize that she is a sinner (not just "realized" but I mean realized) and she got off the piano (she is out church's pianist) and came crying to the front and asked the Lord to save her!
She now said she is now able to sleep.
Oh, and she said the main turning point was when our pastor's wife got saved last week (as well as a young preacher, a 73 year old church member, and several others).
The reason they weren't saved they said? They said they had never realized they were a sinner. Simple thing but most important. God came to save sinners, He came to save lost people, and that's what He does, has done, and is doing!
BTW, I love this sermon!
