National Review endorses Romney.... Why?

    One of the nation's oldest and most respected conservative magazines just threw its weight behind one of the nation's newest and least respected conservative politicians.

    Story here.

    The article did make an interesting point about Giuliani and Huckabee:

    Sadly, the only thing it had to say about FT was:

    (Bolding mine.) "FT is as conservative as Romney"?!? What were the editors smoking? FT has been a lifelong conservative and has decades worth of precedent to prove it. Flipp Romney has been conservative for the better half of five minutes and he's the standard FT is measured against?

    I read the NR endorsment yesterday and I thought they made an excellent case for supporting Romney. NR is the magazine of ECONOMIC conservativism, so I am not surprised that Romney is their pick.

    I'm still considering my options as the PA primary doesn't roll around til February.
