Need advice 4th string keeps breaking on guitars?

    Dedicated to music4Him. This is the current status of the G on my acoustic. Well, half the current status anyway, there are two gaps near the 1st and 2nd frets (depending on where I move the loose winding). I'll use it like this at home until it breaks (if it breaks) or I have to play the guitar somewhere.

    Ah the magic of Dean Markley Formula 82/R...(XLs at that :D )

    Now thats awesome Pete! You might just sell me on the Dean Markley strings yet. :D

    I don't know what the odds of breaking the 4th string on both of my brothers guitars and both my guitars (and one being brand new) all in the matter of months, but so far so good with the new stings.


    LOL @ SFIC~ I did quit plucking the 4th string when it broke. :D [​IMG] ;)

    i use d'addario strings. (sp?)

    and they've worked great for me.

    im thinking of switching over to medium instead of light though.
