Need Help Fast!!

    How do you identify the Genre of a particular book or books of the NT? I know there are letters and such, but Genre Identification needs to be there for each book. I know Revelation, but what about the gospels, what would be their particular genre?

    Are you talking about history, letters, prophecy, etc?

    If so I have always considered the gospels as narrative...
    Of course I have seen some that list them as historical, along with Acts
    Then the letters
    Then Revelation as the only prophetic book in the NT.
