need moderator's help!

    Somebody who knows how to remove me from registration should do so.

    I love this forum and will continue to read it, I am sure.

    However, our new church is baptistic but not officially Baptist. I have resigned from membership in the Baptist but not all that baptistic church here, so should not be allowed to post.

    Our decision is that it is more important to be a traditional bottom up (regarding church govt.) free grace baptist than it is to be a top down purpose driven Southern Baptist.

    Yea, and who here is a member of a Southern Baptist Church that is driven from the top?????? Sounds like IFB propaganda.

    At least in this general vicinity (east of Philly), the name Baptist presents quite a burden to bear and is an obstacle to overcome when witnessing to the unsaved.

    I'd guess that there are quite a few of us that attend fellowships that could be considered independent Baptistic churches, a church that follows the basic principles of a Baptist church without necessarily having the name Baptist in their title.

    PM one of the Administrators and work things out with them.

    The forum doesn't run the ads. If I'm not mistaken they are generated by Google. There are also ad's inviting me to meet "Christian Hotties." Personally, I'm satisfied with the hottie I'm married to.

    For over a year, the Board has been under attack by bogus machine generated membership apps.:BangHead: They appear from time to time in the Who's Online section. They do not however have any membership privileges and are deleted when an Admin goes through the apps (which happens 3-4 times a day). :tonofbricks: Remember folks, the Admin Council is an unpaid gig.

    From here, I'll go and delete the thirty or so of them that are waiting in the que.:wavey:

    That's terrible, what a pain. That's nice of you and the others to do this for us :1_grouphug: We should be able to donate anonymously to you all. Once I looked at a newcomer with a church profile of 123456 and they had a nasty name and posted a bad link. It surprised me that it got that far

    It was thirty four this go round. And yes some do get through. When they do, use the report post feature them to alert the Forum Mods. They'll get ahold of one of the Admins for further action. and they can edit the post to remove the link.

    Why not have more moderators? Other boards have upwards of 10 moderators per forum. That would filter a lot, and keep the BB more civil.

    Moderators do not have access to the Administration panel, so they could not delete the spammers.
