The Associated Press Stylebook tweeted an admonishment to stop using the word "riot" to describe political protests and instead use the milder "unrest" to avoid stigmatizing protesters.

The guidance was tweeted on Tuesday amid numerous protests, riots and looting across the country.

"Use care in deciding which term best applies: A riot is a wild or violent disturbance of the peace involving a group of people. The term riot suggests uncontrolled chaos and pandemonium," the official AP Stylebook Twitter account said.

Protesting does not equal rioting. Protesting is legal and protected by the Constitution.

Rioting is violence is against the law. Rioting is not legal and is not protected by the Constitution.

"The term riot suggests uncontrolled chaos and pandemonium"

This means the AP is honestly saying that the Antifa and BLM "unrest" situations are actually "controlled" (which is what we knew all along, even if Biden thinks they are only an "idea").

I wish right-wingers were as concerned about violence by white supremacists as they are about violence by Leftist anarchists.

What I see on news is only leftists rioting, looting, pillaging and burning, either or and Antifa, (which democrats claim does not exist except as a thought) and BLM, a socialist group wanting to burn down the country get rid of police and private property rights..
It seems the right wing like nationalists, and Proud Boys want to stop Antifa and BLM from the rioting , looting, pillaging and burning.
