Since the Science Forum seems to be in lock-down mode....

ISRAELI SCIENTISTS FIND UNDERGROUND ECOSYSTEM [link]

The cave, located near the city of Ramle in Israel, was discovered just last month, is 328 feet below ground in a limestone quarry and includes tunnels that extend about a mile and a half.

Cut off from both fresh air and sunlight, scientists have found a unique cave system containing previously unknown fresh and marine water species.

I saw this story on Netscape the other day.

Here is a breif quote from that one:
    "
This biological time capsule dates back about five million years ago when the Mediterranean Sea still covered major parts of Israel. It survived because it was totally sealed off from the world. "Every species we examined had no eyes which means they lost their sight due to evolution," Dr. Hanan Dimantman, a biologist at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, told Reuters."

I guess that God might have designed them with no eyes because they wouldn't need them never occured to Dr. Dimantman. Or, using his worldview, that they never developed eyes in the first place.

Here's the link to the Netscape story:

Yeah, its funny that the species examining the species has eyes to see but doesn't see.

How long before the "Palestinians" claim that they were there 5,000,000 years ago farming these creatures in underwater gardens? :type:
