If secular humanism is truly being taught, then it should be stopped.

But people like David Barton claim that secular humanism is necessarily being taught by default because the schools are neutral toward religion. Barton has an illogical belief that if Christianity or another religion is not taught, that the schools are teaching atheism.

Furthermore, Barton seems to be more interested in morality than he is with the Christian faith. On the ultra-right wing Christian radio show, "Point of View" back in 1995 or so, I heard Barton say that he would rather "have any religion taught in school than no religion taught in public school" because "all religions are generally against the same things".

In my experience, most of the claims of secular humanism being taught in schools is rhetoric rather than reality.

Instead of getting information solely from a group opposed to the ACLU, I suggest going directly to the ACLU's website and reading their position on the issues.
</font>[/QUOTE]Simple the CLA usually finds itself defending the Brethren in cases brought in the spirit if not by the ACLU. To the best of my knowledge, the CLA is normally the defendent not the plaintiff. Or if it is the plaintiff in a case, it is because administrative remedies have failed to give relief.
