I am not laughing Poncho.
The problem is that the Constitution framers did not definitively spell out the meaning of "a natural born citizen" as related to the status of his/her parents apart from the exception clause "at the time of the adoption of this Constitution" though indeed this was probably the intent of the fathers.
So, I agree, it's therefore up to the States to clearly define the status of both parents as related to their offsping to qualify as "a natural born citizen" since such status it is not clearly defined (hobeit implied) in the Constitution.
But, no doubt, this action would force the issue to the judicial branch and we know how that would probably end.

That matter has already been to the supreme court. It upheld the definition of natural born as being born to
two citizen parents. This is all in
my other thread on this subject.
I hear tell some of the states are working on this type of legislation. I'd like to see it happen myself. If nothing else maybe the truth about Obama's ineligiblity would come out when he couldn't prove he is a natural born citizen. And couldn't get on the ballot. Not that anyone would care.
But yeah your right. We already know the courts and government would continue to ignore the law and legal precedence.
Can't really expect anything else from the totally corupt and illigitimate system of governance we have now.
I honestly think the USA is ready for a dictatorship. People have been so dumbed down about our history and laws they'd welcome one with open arms right about now.
I'm sure Robert Snow would so long as the man or woman wore a big badge with a D on their shirt. That's all some folks need to see to fall into the worship mode.
