So you think that SOCOM is the feds now?
Well, duh! Of course the US Army Special Operations Command is federal. They report to the Army Chief of Staff who reports to the Secretary of the Army who reports to the Secretary of Defense who reports to the President of the United States.

If you think they are not federal, who do you think they are?

 I was confused at first.... I see now, however, that we are speaking of the State Guard and not the National Guard...I'm tracking, just slowly.

I'm well aware of that TCassidy although when someone uses the term Feds it is usually not a very endearing term and one that is not appreciated by those in uniform. Let's not sit here and insult each other's intelligence okay.

You don't speak for those in uniform, and you certainly don't speak for me for those years I was in uniform. The only negative connotation attached to the word "feds" is in our mind.

You first.

The way the nuts are using the term Feds is not being said as a statement of fact. They are speaking about them as if they are the enemy. For example, "Gotta watch those Feds." I don't think we are really disagreeing here, maybe talking past each other.
