So you think that SOCOM is the feds now? I wouldn't say that to these operators if I were you. Maybe you should have a little more respect for our Special Operations troops that require training to do what they do.

Well, duh! Of course the US Army Special Operations Command is federal. They report to the Army Chief of Staff who reports to the Secretary of the Army who reports to the Secretary of Defense who reports to the President of the United States.

Yes, big difference. Many states, including Texas and California have a State Military Reserve that cannot be called to federal duty as the National Guard can.

That's right . The people of Texas have a deep and abiding distrust of anything Obama is involved in. With good reason.

He has shown his petty vindictive streak before concerning Texas and Texans.

The way the nuts are using the term Feds is not being said as a statement of fact. They are speaking about them as if they are the enemy. For example, "Gotta watch those Feds." I don't think we are really disagreeing here, maybe talking past each other.
