Jesus is a man is He not Wes? Just asking.

    john.
</font>[/QUOTE]Jesus was a man, but not an ordinary man because he was and is the Son of God, totally unique from all other men! Same as all other men in that He resided a spirit in a body of flesh while among men. But there has never been another like him, nor will there ever be another like him. Totally unique! God, manifested in the flesh.

There is no other who can compare to Jesus! But for Theologians? They are a dime a dozen!

Do you have any mentors Wes? Any heroes of the faith? Men who you respect as God-fearing and did the right thing in dire times? Are there any men in history you think are worthy of emulation in their dedication to Christ?

Don't you know that is was "theologians" that decided what books where in the Bible Wes? Are you trusting that they couldn't understand the doctrines of the faith but where smart enough to decide what was canonical? Do you know they rejected over two thousand books? If you don't trust them for doctrine and to be guided by the H.S. to be gifted to teach proper, orthodox doctrine maybe you should start reading those other books to decide in your great wisdom which books they might have "screwed up" on also.

So, you are saying the Bible might not have books that should be in it?

'would' does not mean 'have been.' There were only 4 divinely inspired eye-witness accounts of Christ's life.

1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

I asked you if you believed this and you have replied, "Sure, don't you?"

    I do sure.

What I don't understand is the hesitation on whether you believed Jesus is a man or not?
Just to clarify, you do believe He is a man don't you?

Some of us work for other human beings, and must go from time to time. What you perceive as hesitation, I see as being away.

I believe as Peter stated it, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God! The fact that he appeared to us as a man is an indication of his power and supremacy relative to us. Scripture says that he emptied himself of his Glory, made himself low, so he was first God, then God/Man, now God again. Will he come back as a man? I don't have a specific position on the except that scriptures say that he will return "in like manner". That doesn't mean that he will clothed in human flesh, but that he will descend from heaven in the manner that he ascended into heaven. So I don't know!

I asked you if you believed this and you have replied, "Sure, don't you?"

You now say that Jesus is not a man, ...so he was first God, then God/Man, now God again... Yet in the passage above we see Jesus the Man is Mediator and you said you believed that? You have denied the Humanity of Christ if you believe He is now not flesh and bone but you have a contradiction nevertheless.

JN 20:26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27 Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."
JN 20:28 Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

Just what is you think I'm lacking?

I believe in Jesus, I believe that he is the Son of God, the Christ! I believe that he came in the flesh! I believe that He atoned for sin so that I might have life everlasting!

So what is it you think I lack?

    Hello Wes.

You say you believe Jesus died for your sins and the scriptures say that whoever believes will be saved.

I was only asking. Thanks for the answer.

I understand what you are saying and you and I are on the same side here. My great love and respect for the Puritans (or Non-Conformists as they were called in their day) caused me to chase a rabbit here... ;)

John, why don't you "teach" the guy what your point is (you actually have one) instead of mocking him and leaving him in his error.

Wes...what they are saying is you believe Jesus was a man but not that He is now. You can trust, on the authority of Scripture, that Jesus is a man now. Still the same GodMan He was on earth.

    Hello KJ.
You think him in error you should explain to him yourself I think.
But I had no point it was just something that made me curious so I ask my friend Wes to answer a question or two. That's all. I had no point except deepening my understanding.

The entirety of the post compressed.

Was my politeness unnerving? Where is the mockery please?

You say you believe Jesus died for your sins and the scriptures say that whoever believes will be saved.
You say I mock by preaching the gospel?
Or was it "Hello Wes"? Might be I was only asking. Thanks for the answer.
Sarcasm? To the pure all things are pure. In future I will be wary of saying anything nice to you! In fear it will be misconstrude!

    Your servant sire.
