We never hear about anything on the boarder unless I run across it online. Our news is so washed it is squeaky clean. The local stations don't know what journalism is. One of the talk show hosts mentioned with all the snow predicted there were more reporters on the street than snowflakes.

We go two days of snow news, then a day of rain news and now we are n the local flooding/landslide news. Monday they had one short nonweather related story in the 1/2 hour show.

News used to mean north east west south, now no effort wasted snooping!

In addition to wall to wall weather coverage, at times, we must be kept informed with all the details on Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, and ALL the gossip, sorry, "news" about the Hollywood celebrity types. Let one of them get a hangnail and we've got to hear about it for days.

The main point of this story should be that it was NOT reported in any of my newspapers or on the major networks or on any of the NPR stations or . . . .

That almost offended me. I tried to be offended. I just couldn't get past the concept of someone who can't string a proper sentence together having the nerve to say I'm ignorant.

Perhaps if you corrected it and changed your own citizenship to another country, the insult would work better.
