Remington Arms is planning on moving from Central NY to the Greater Nashville, Tn.

The reason for the move is not because of the 150+ inches of snow per year. Rather, NY recently passed some extreme laws. The guns the company makes are now illegal in NY.
When the govt gives "help" - it does nothing but cause more trouble for citizens.

Somebody's jumping the gun, so to speak. The Arms has been leaving Ilion since they made their first great discovery. They found out in the 1950s if you threaten to move to another state Albany will come up with all sorts of incentives to get you to stay: tax breaks, property tax breaks, utility concessions, etc.

Remington has plants all over the country including a gun plant in Kentucky. Looking at property in TN is not as earth-shattering as some would like you to believe. They are currently running 5 gun companies out of the Ilion facility. My son works for Bushmaster and several folks from the church work for Remington and Marlin.

I'll let you know if I see a bunch of moving trucks. BTW, I live 2 miles from the plant and drive by it everyday.

Do they make anything similar to an M14? I'm comfortable with that.
