Last weekend (11/29-30) God inspired me to do something that He never has done before---and may possibly never do for me in the future. Namely, He gave me a set of words that can be sung to the tune of a song that many enjoy singing and/or listening to, especially at this time of the year.

The song to which I'm referring is "O Holy Night!"

What follows are the words to "O Glorious Day!":

    1

O glorious day, the day when Jesus found me--
Lost in sin, and no hope for my soul.

He took me in, the sheep who had been wandering,
Far from God, back into His own fold.

The Lamb of God left His throne in glory:
It was for me He suffered, bled and died.

Rescued from sin! O praise His name forever!
O glorious day, the day Christ came to stay!
O glorious day, the day Christ came to stay!

    2

And from that day He's proven to be faithful,
Even when I have strayed from His ways.

His precious blood is always there to cleanse me,
When e're I come and bow humbly to pray.

The Son of God left His throne on glory:
It was for me He suffered, bled and died.

Rescued from sin! O praise His name forever!
O glorious day, the day Christ came to stay!
O glorious day, the day Christ came to stay!

    3

And someday soon He's coming back to take me,
To His home where with Him shall I ever abide.

Thus He has said, and who can doubt His promise.
So, look up, His redemption is nigh!

The King of Kings left His throne in glory:
It was for me He suffered, bled and died.

Rescued from sin! O praise His name for ever!
O glorious day, the day Christ came to say!

    O glorious day!

    The day......Christ came to stay!

Now, I know nothing about copyright laws or stuff like that, but since it was God who gave me these words rather than merely ktn4eg, if singing "O Glorious Day" isn't somehow illegal, you've certainly got my permission to sing it (or laugh at it , or whatever).
