    If you had bothered to read the earlier posts you would be aware that the quote was taken from Obama's plea to the IOC.

    If it has nothing to do with the olympics you should take it up with Obama.

    Ok, it should have been identified as part of that speech.

    Now, do you think the work is over? I don't and it is not an insult to America. In fact, one of our strengths is that we admit to problems and work on them. I have found Europeans, while having a terrible attitude toward gypsies staunchly refuse to admit they are prejudice or have a problem.

    Why did Obama bring it up other than to further his ongoing campaign for president of the world?

    And why do you other than to further your ongoing campaign of reflexive defense of Obama?

    I responded the way I did not to defend Obama, but because the reply, which was not well explained or defined, seemed to have nothing to do with the thread.

    It seems there is no thread ever posted that really stays on topic on this BB.

    Perhaps threads stray off topic because people post without reading first.

    The quote in question needed no explanation to anyone who was following the thread instead of simply jumping in.

    He had to. He knew No sane person would consider the city if they knew the truth.

    That should read America's dismal showing... The president went on behalf of his nation and we as a nation were turned down. And I have no idea how this would be humiliation for the president, he gave his best which is all we ask of anyone.

    Glad to see so many anti-American's applaud at its nations failures. What next, going to trip old people or throw obstacles in front of the blind.
