Have you seen a more damaged brand and damaged incumbent than the GOP and Bush respectively? And Reagan would've likely gotten more 1st time around if not for Anderson. That's the last parallel we've had to what we had now. I honestly think Hillary would've gotten more votes. Gore might have, too, though I suspect his internals told him all he needed to know and he rather relishes being king-maker. Remember...a couple of missteps that you rightly point out was the fault of bad campaign advice, and we have a horserace into the night on election night. Still mystifies me how a Dem could not win by ten points or more.

Actually, the Church sold its soul to the Republican party. What has it gotten in return?

One of your more thought out postings, I suppose.

I think this is an extremely poor attack rooted in bias and vitriol. To say the entire body of Christ has sold out itself to the Republican party is as illogical as it is offensive.

It's comments like this that make Independants like myself roll my eyes at those on the left. It also makes me, as a Christian, wonder why some seem to care so much more about the political than they do the spiritual.

Clearly, it's time to go find an adult discussion and let the kiddies have this one since they're so determined to bring everything down a notch or four.

Please, Tom, don't be so dramatic. You know the statement that was made was a generalization. The poster was not saying that the entire church was sold out. Think more before you jump to conclusions.

That particular poster has a habit of saying hateful, biased, & slanderous statements, and never sticks around to back them up. Or retract them, after they have been shown to be false. He never even implied the caveat you assigned to him.

If you start sticking up for him, you may have a full-time job on yer hands. Perhaps when he disappears from now on, you can step into his place ?
