Another definition of ignorance might be not knowing when to use capital letters, you know, like when the word Americas is used. Or it might mean someone who doesn't bother to proof read things they post. No, that would be lazy, not ignorant.

Another definition might be someone who votes to continue to elect republicans into office in spite of the horrible job they have done in the past.

I didn't realize we were in school. FTR, one who lives in a glass home shouldn't throw stones. Since you want to nit-pick, "republicans" should be "Republicans" and there is no "s" after America(s). Lazy or just ignorant?

Deal with the topic, and leave the ad hominems out.

You don't think the ignorant and idiots existed when this nation was formed? And as far as media, the only news one had then was generally limited to local papers who seldom if ever offer opposing views. It is these ignorant and idiots who form the back bone of this nation, who gave sweat to build it from the dirt, who sacrifice their very lives to defend this constitution and who comprise the nation who call themselves American's. We would not exist without them.

    I think Lincoln understood it best when he said;

Wrong! The word "republican" is only capitalized when it refers directly to the Republican Party.

Also, the word "Americas" was referring to your misuse of the word. So, tell me are you <personal attack deleted - LE>?

Show me where I ever typed "Americas".

Republicans should be capitalized, because that is a group classification, as you pointed out with Americans.

Usually people attack spelling and grammar when they can't prove and defend a point. Besides being a non sequitur, it is also an ad hominem.

[personal attack snipped], I must say.

They meant a great deal to President Bush who was jusdt voted 37th (tie) out of 44 presidents. He was a complete failure.

I find it odd that any one would say that someone who was one of only 44 persons to have held the highest office in the greatest nation in the history of the world is a "complete failure".

I don't know what your resume looks like but I doubt that it would demonstrate your authority to make such a sweeping statement of condemnation.

Wait until the gullible public finds out the price of everything is going up because of O'bama's carbon tax.

Why would everything go up because of carbon tax? Isn't that kind of alarmist?

The carbon tax will increase the cost of energy and manufacturing which includes the cost of just about everything.

    No alarmism at all.

This is the back door tax that will affect everyone - to make up for the tax cut for 95% of taxpayers.

The few dollars a week in reduced withholding taxes won't even begin to come close to offsetting it.

You're narrowly focusing on one budget entry, this money and plenty more invested will move us to Renewable Energy like wind, solar, bio-fuels, clean coal etc... When your electric bill goes up and enough of us complain about their prices we'll force them to accept some of the governments subsidies for moving to new sources. This will not only create new industries, jobs but will help the environment in one step.

I know the drill baby drill solution is pushed by the right but I think this is very responsible and Obama is banking his political future on it working. Without this tax no one has an incentive to move to renewable energy so his other investments will fail.

don't know, you need to ask the 15% of republican's who jumped on board. The rest of us were already on board and just waiting our turn to row the boat... This is going to take sacrifice and effort from all American's but I think if we follow our leader we'll be better on the other side of this storm.

This just out since we are talking about approval

Poll: Obama's rating at all-time high
NBC/WSJ poll shows gap between popularity of president and his policies

People like this man, and I think they like his wife and those two little girls as well.

    Obama’s high marks
In the survey, 68 percent have a favorable opinion of the president, including 47 percent whose opinion is "very positive" — both all-time highs for Obama in the poll. Moreover, 67 percent say they feel more hopeful about his leadership and 60 percent approve of his job in the White House.

I did not vote for him , but I want him to do well and especially do well for the nation, we should all pray for him to have success.

Abba Father give our President the wisdom to navigate this nation out of hard times. In Jesus name amen:praying:

I also wanted to add that the world is changing its mind about us and it is still and long uphill challenge.

    Mexico: Obama -22; Bush -61
    Brazil: Obama +21; Bush -63
South Africa: Obama even; Bush -20
    Tanzania: Obama +72; Bush +27
    Nigeria: Obama +13; Bush +16
    Egypt: Obama -27; Bush -75
    Jordan: Obama -38; Bush -82
    Turkey: Obama -42; Bush -87
    Spain: Obama +50; Bush -80
    France: Obama +68; Bush -74
    Britain: Obama +55; Bush -65
    Germany: Obama +67; Bush -71
    Poland: Obama +24: Bush -9
    Russia: Obama +2; Bush -47
    Pakistan: Obama -36; Bush -56
    India: Obama +3; Bush +22
    China: Obama -4; Bush -15
South Korea: Obama +22; Bush -34
    Japan: Obama +63; Bush -44
    Indonesia: Obama +30; Bush -43
    Australia: Obama +63; Bush -53
United States: Obama +21; Bush -23

You get more accomplished when people like you and trust you, and we are all in this together with this enormous recession.

Obama represents the country well with foreign leaders, I saw Gordon Brown practically smile at every word he said the other day.

Once again having friends in the world is a tremendous change from the Bush administration. This will translate into having strong allies again and being able to reduce the ridiculous amount of money we spend on our military. Let Japan, the UK, France, Germany, etc. shoulder part of the responsibility for maintaining a safe and peaceful world.

Yup. Let's also stop threatening Iran, and bombing Pakistan, like the current administration is doing.
