Have you ever seen your long form?

The short form is a legal document and proves that Obama was born in Hawaii. Also there was an announcement of his birth in a Honolulu newspaper.

If he goes to Arizona, he may be required to show it now, with the new law in place.

I can see an officer asking him for his proof that he is a citizen, and if he can't show it.. arresting him!..

OH what a dream that would be!

Yea, like the Secret Service would ever let that happen. Not one policeman in the whole state of Arizona would get within arm's reach of the President, and you know it.

    This is A Losing Cause...

.... I've heard this issue so much, and I doubt if anyone has the clout to make this come to pass.

Even if he is not an American citizen, the election is over, the deed is done, and Obama is too "golden" to be brought down, or, forced to produce a BC in 2012. He hasn't produced one yet, and any push to make it happen should have happened before he was elected and sworn in.

I don't mean to sound negative, but, it sounds like a lot of people are simply "beating a dead horse" who has been dead so long now, that it smells to high-heaven.

This is of course, just my humble opinion, and I'd like to see this happen, especially if he was not born in this country; broke our laws for POTUS requirements; and is trying to duck and cover-up!"

Yes, President Obama did provide a birth certificate, but you are right in that it doesn't matter. There is nothing he can do that will satisfy some of the right-wing nut cases.

BTW, the problem with this legislation in Arizona is that all Hispanics will have to have faultless Id's and walk on eggshells for fear of being detained. There are far too many Hispanics in Arizona to allow this to every work.

We turned a blind eye for decades while these people came here from Mexico and farther south and were happy to use their cheap labor, now the republicans are trying to make some points with ridiculous legislation like this. No wonder the voters rejected them in 2008!

There is no truth to this whatsoever. It is not even logical

Please, explain yourself! Do you deny the turmoil this has already caused in Arizona?

Bub the current turmoil has nothing to do with "all Hispanics will have to have faultless Id's and walk on eggshells for fear of being detained" the law has not gone into effect yet. You need to stick to one single line of thought.

You obviously did not see the evening news story about the protests in Arizona. They were over the signing of this law by the governor of Arizona, so I think it is you who needs to stick with the ongoing line of thought. And by the way, my names not "bub."

I have already talked to Hispanics here in Texas that are concerned with this ignorant law. But, it will never stand up to a court challenge, if it even goes that far!

I believe this it the concern. You just have a problem admitting anything that goes against your narrow way of thinking.

Why doesn't Arizona just require all their citizens to carry Id cards, not just pass laws that target Hispanics?

Apparently you have no idea what the law even is. The law does not require anyone to carry an id card in any way that is not already established. And the law does not target hispanics. It targets illegals. If you drive a car you have to have an id card. If you want to cash a check you have to have an id card. If you want to use a credit card you have to have an id card. Your strawman falls short.

You just cannot admit when you are wrong, can you?

What does that mean "faultless id's"? Do you mean legitimate id's?

You're not required to have an ID card when walking down the street, bub. That's where the problem with this bill lies. It's going to lead to ethnic profiling.
