they say 84,000 with the fire marshall shuting it down ..perhaps would have been 90,000 to 95,000. imo Colorado is blue now but will see what the next round of polling has to say.

and there is deflation and disappointment in Minnesota and Michigan and I think those that were leaning blue are now solidly blue.

 

I keep hearing this that last night's Hollywood show will deliver Colorado to the Dems. But most of the spectators last night were out-of-state elitist types - many from Hollywood, etc. I doubt this will help deliver Colorado. Colorado may go Blue for other reasons, but not because of this.

I have to disagree with you on the Hollywood issue, Obama has not used celebrities like others have and of course there must be entertainment between speakers that is true in both campaign conventions.

Obama has handled the Hollywood? just right imo. they have a right to get involved and support whom ever, just as they will for McCain this is a red herring and I think Obama scaled it back compared to the past, example Bruce Springsteen and Ben Affleck. Obama as much as I can tell is not sharing a stage with any celebs now Oprah might be another question but I have seen a reluctance of hers to share a stage with him again , she only did it once.

btw great entertainment between speakers the 84,000 got some great entertainment usually they would have to pay for.

and I do think this event will strengthen his position in Colorado with the stated goals of using the event for registering new voters and then excited participants fanning out over Colorado and don't forget the viewership in Colorado , I do not have the numbers but I think it must have been high, it was in their home state.

 

Besides showing how fickle and ignorant many americans are, this brings Obama back to where Kerry was 4 years ago against Bush. How did that turn out?

Are you old enough to remember '84? Socialist/humanist Mondale emerged in the immediate aftermath of the convention with a 1.5% lead over Reagan. BTW he lost in Nov., 59% to 40%.

And this is a perfect example of why these circus shows called "conventions" are one of the most dividing, ignorant displays put on by America. Do you guys even seriously watch the people at these things? They're worse than a 10 year old at a Hannah Montana concert!

I'm tired of this already, and I'm only 25. I wish both parties luck in getting me to vote for either of them.
