I could see not allowing gays in the military, but realistically you know this isn't ever going to happen. The question is what is the best policy with the military we have.

I could see not allowing gays in the military, but realistically you know this isn't ever going to happen. The question is what is the best policy with the military we have.
Homosexu@lty should be a non-waiverable disqualification.
Or how about this compromise - allow them in the Coast Guard and Air Force for a 10 year test period. Army,Navy, and Marines would be off limits

What about allowing lesbians in the military but not gay men?
Why does one cause less distractions than the other?
I stand by my opinion that we should not allow any homosexuals in the military.
Hold on there, Salty; Air Force has its share of Special Forces and ground troops, too (once upon a time, I was qualified on 9mm. M16, M60, and M203 grenade launcher. For some reason, I could never get my supervisor to allow me to attend the Mk-19 grenade launcher, 50-cal machine gun, or sniper rifle courses. All of these were valid Air Force weapons, just used by a small segment of Security Specialists (now Security Forces) and Special Forces (I was not Special Forces, by the way)).
If you want to start a thread about that, go right ahead, but give us some solid proof.
