The same way it did with vile comments from political conservatives any time an unarmed black man was killed by police.

Is he any less compassionate and without a heart than so called political conservatives who maligned the dead unarmed men killed by police officers?

 

I don't know how Black Lies Matter got into this conversation, but I think that sodomites and partisan Democrats are the ones attacking Scalia even before the funeral in an open display of gaucheness that you might expect from the fascist Peronists.

 

Then let me explain it to ya. You mentioned the vile comments that social media exploded with upon Scalia's death.

I explained that social media did the same thing upon the death of unarmed black men at the hands of the police. Only difference, the vile comments were coming from the political conservatives.

And the racists and partisan Republicans attacked and maligned the character of nearly every unarmed black man killed by police in an open display of gaucheness and hatred that has become the calling card for the GOP around the world.

 

What I do not understand is how his absence can be thought to be politically expedient. As it is now, Obama just looks bitter and vindictive.

 

"Bitter and vindictive"? Obama? That sounds about right, maybe he's mad because Scalia skipped all those SOTUS.

It would have been a good PR play but too late - Biden is going at least.

If Obama had come out and said from the start that he would be attending Scalia's funeral, some of yall and the rest of the radical right would be saying "you didn't know why he was going?" or "that if you were Scalia's family, you'd tell him that you didn't want him there".

Why? Could it be that yall are a bunch of angry people radicalized by the likes of Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh? If President Obama rescued a drowning baby and a drowning puppy from a lake, some of yall would claim it was selfishly staged and you would find a reason to be contrarians just as the Dems did with every move George W Bush made.

 

And if he attended, some would proclaim he was just trying to gain ground for his SCOTUS nomination. Some will find fault with everything the man does. Hopefully at this point in his Presidency, he doesn't care.

Well, (if the "progressive" or socialist gets elected) get ready to have your gold, silver, IRA and firearms confiscated during the first term.

Actually I believe the latest scheme is that the IRA will have to be converted to contain at least 40% T-Bills (new and improved individual T-bills which could even have a NEGATIVE interest rate under socialism - you know for all the "free stuff").

This promise of social giveaways reminds me of the 1989 Batman movie where the Joker (Jack Nicholson) throws a parade for Gotham City. He and his henchmen are riding a float throwing fistfuls of money to the greedy adoring crowd.

Then he (Joker) sprays the crowd with poison green gas.

Whoa....my IRA is going to HAVE to be 40% T-bills?

They warned me about my Roth IRA.....I fund it thru already -taxed money so I avoid taxes later when I retire. At some point, some Statist will see my nest egg and decide to tax it (or hit me with "fees").

Oh. And Omuslim skipping out on the funeral is garbage. He and his wife have no class.

It wont "technically" be a "tax" because of the negative interest rate. Buy it for $9999 (or whatever the personal individual cost) then redeem it for $9000 (for example).

The White House is defending his decision however to skip the funeral. But really you need to show respect as Commander in Chief.

 

I was very disappointed that President Obama skipped this funeral, opting to send emissaries. This is another matter in which he has utterly failed as a leader.

Regardless of past precedent, regardless of personal ideology, regardless of political fights brewing...why not just put on the black suit and tie and sit in the second row quietly and honor a man who served his country. If he really wanted to back the GOP into a corner, go to the funeral, hug the widow on TV, and then point out when he offers his nominee that he tried to reach across the aisle in the most meaningful way he could find.

Now, he just looks like a petulant man, sitting in his big mansion, ten minutes away from the funeral. I am deeply disappointed in our President over this. It might have been a step towards unity as a nation, but instead he took three more steps away from that goal.

 

Surely no one is surprised at this move by OBama.

 

I guess by this we can determine that Scalia was bitter and vindictive for skipping those State of the Union addresses.

The family was okay with him not being there and seems to have understood. If they were okay with it, contrary to your unsubstantiated story, then everybody else should be okay with it.
