But poor ol' Barack needs a break. Awwww...poor baby...

The fundraiser was at the home of Linda Douglass, the former CBS and ABC News reporter who joined the Obama White House to sell national health care to a skeptical public. Douglass is now a top executive at Atlantic Media, the Washington-based company that runs The Atlantic, National Journal, and other publications. Douglass' husband, John Phillips, is a wealthy lawyer...

According to the pool report, Obama thanked Phillips for the work he and his wife have done for Team Obama. Then the president mentioned that Phillips and Douglass have an opulent place in Italy and wondered why there had been no invitation to visit. "I'd appreciate a little break and some Tuscan sun," the president said, according to the pool report.

What a flaming hypocrite. I don't recall GWB whining, even over the withering criticism he received.

Buck up, Barack!

I am sincerely sorry Mr. President but with all repect due your office, we the people also need a break.

From multi-trillion dollar debt.
From the doubling-tripling of the money supply.
From multi billion tax-payer dollar corporate bailouts.
From VP's of bailed-out corporations with multi million tax-payer dollar golden parachutes.
From 10% unemployment.
From Bills being passed which are not made accessible to the public.
From multiple Czar appointments without the approval of Congress.
etc, etc, etc...

Did you hear it or read it? Cuz hearing it he sounds like he's just being flattering...

sort of like "I don't know what you people put in the water around here but its harder to leave everytime"

Would you accuse the President of saying people were purposely contaminating the water?

Give it a rest folks. The vitriol for this man, I have never seen (well maybe President Clinton...which makes me wonder if its just politics at this point)

And that is why you cannot be taken seriously, here. If you are HONESTLY going to say you saw no vitriol against Bush, or that is was worse when Clinton was in office...please.

You give it a rest. This is as bad as Carter's "malaise" speech. Obama and his whole team are a joke. They deserve what they are getting.
