Ocean in Northern Kentucky??

Findings like this don't trouble me at all. Maybe it was the great flood; or maybe God created that part of the earth with crustacean shells scattered throughout the rock layers. The scientists never consider that possibility, do they?

 

Maybe you should plant sea-cucumbers.

 

I think I missed it by a few thousand years.....

The plants were at least 10 ft. tall.

 

Just off I-40 West, in the western 1/2 of Oklahoma, one sees what looks like mountain peaks thrusting up out of the earth - the highest probably 100 feet high. This is where sagebrush and foliage-free rocks appear "out there."

According to geologists, they are indeed mountain peaks from mountains that would otherwise be several thousand feet high. Although it seems too far away, they identify it as "an ancient part of the Rocky Mountains". We looked at it each time we passed through western Oklahoma, but never stopped to examine it. Some say sea shells have been found there. IDK anything about that. We don't drive along I-40 west anymore. I guess I could contact their historical society, or maybe Helen has some insights.

I'd be willing to bet that they are nowhere near that tall this year, given the lack of rainfall. In fact, we had the first significant rainfall, last night, in about two months, here. Before that, we had a grand total of about .8" in that period, including six weeks with zero.

Close to 4 ft. but I do have some real nice tomatos on them. Beef stake and Big boy, they don't ripen until around the last of July though. We got rain last night but I don't know how much. I don't think it was very much for my son is pouring concrete today and the ground is dry.
