Off duty, black cops in New York feel threat from fellow police

I found this simply amazing and a very sad statement on our society.

Reuters interviewed 25 African American male officers on the NYPD, 15 of whom are retired and 10 of whom are still serving. All but one said that, when off duty and out of uniform, they had been victims of racial profiling, which refers to using race or ethnicity as grounds for suspecting someone of having committed a crime.

What some of them hinted at but didn't say was that, when on duty, they use profiling to assess potential problems as well.

The statistics are overwhelming and they would put their own lives at risk if they ignored them when on duty.

People vote Democrat in these big cities and so places like Philadelphia can't remember when they had a Republican government from top to bottom but the Democrats misrule and then the big city people blame the entire country. Indianapolis has finally gone Democrat and people are all but trampling each other trying to move out of the county where Indianapolis is. Most of the American big cities are dangerous pits. The small towns are still nice and safe. This is a reversal of places like Colombia where the big cities are safe but the rural areas are very dangerous.

I am thinking that 70% of New York's police force is non-white. The old MLK stuff is outdated and we are moving into a new era where Sharpton is the new MLK. People should move out of the big cities and the Democrat areas if they want good government.

Apparently you're talking about the white people should move since you're stressing the unwhiteness of the police force. Just so that you feel better, as you move up the ranks from detective to chief, the majority still maintains most of the power positions.

Nope. I mean the folks responsible for the continuation of the systemic racial prejudice and racism. It's a culture. They tend to skew GOP and Dem.
