    Disgraced strategist of Southern Baptist 'conservative resurgence' was first appointed a Cedarville trustee in 2003 and got his protégé Thomas White appointed to the school's presidency in 2013. A petition calling for Patterson's removal from Cedarville's board of trustees had reached 1300 signatures:
