I don't know, but a lot of people live well past 72. And as I said, give her a chance, it's only been 24 hours, or so since her acceptance. How fast did you want her to get interviewed, minutes after her acceptance speech? Which si what she's being attacked for, for not walking off the stage and into interviews. Did obama and biden walk off the stage and straight into interviews?

You are right. It was a good motivational speech and she is a good speaker. But there was little substance, but I never expece substance in any speeches given at a political convention.

Some here say the 'liberal press' twists her words. I wonder, what words were twisted? No one has given an example of twisted words. I would like to see them

Palin didn't say she would not answer questions. Rather Nicole Wallace of the McCain campaign said that Palin would not be answering questions, only saying what she is told to say. That simply is not right regardless of whether it is a candidate from the left or the right. If elected she will be one heartbeat away from being the president, and with McCain being 72 it is a fairly high probability that she will become president. Thus, we need to know what she really believes in all areas so we can make an intelligent decision.

Again she doesnt get to set policy. McCains policy is her policy. If you want to know her policy look to McCains policy. That will answer all your questions.

Not necessarily true and probably not true at all. As long as she would be VP it would be her job to support his polices. If she becomes president she would no longer be under that obligation. What does she really believe?

I have never heard McCain say he is against abortion when rape or incest is the cause.

I have never heard McCain say that "God approves of the Iraq war.

I have never heard McCain say it is God's will for a pipeline to be built.

If she becomes president what will her policies be?

What does she believe about dealing with Russia? China? Sudan? etc., etc.

Through out my adult life and watching politics, the liberal media has twisted the words of those they oppose(conservatives, christians, etc.) over and over. It's a fact at this point, we all know it.

Hmmmmm, I guess you did not notice both these interviews were given before Nicole Wallace said, "No more questions." and put the muzzle on her. So, since then, to use your words, "she has been hiding." I expect that to change or she will drag McCain's ratings down.

Can you give some examples of where the 'liberal' press has twisted Palin's words?

As I said, if you would go back and read my actual posts. That the liberal media always twists to the words of christians and conservatives, and we all know this.

What is really quite ridiculous is she accepts the nomination and you people bash her for not being interviewed by every media outlet in less then 24 hours. Which is when this thread started, less then 24 hours. this is beyond stupid. As I already asked, did obama and biden walk off the stage and into the media, giving interview after interview, immediately after accepting the nomination? No one has answered yet. You expect something more and different from Palin?

I read this morning that Sarah Palin starts campaigning next week. Could it be, this is when you usually start hearing from candidates?
People here who have no interest in possibly voting McCain/ Palin are doing the most fussing about wanting to know what she thinks. Well in the long and short of it, you really don't care what she thinks, as you've made up your minds to vote for abortion. All you really want is more agruments.

*** Waiting for the interview: There are now about 60 days until Election Day and just three weeks until the debates. And who knows whether we'll get the first Sarah Palin serious issue interview before then. This morning on "Morning Joe", McCain manager Rick Davis wouldn't commit to putting her out to media interviews unless they saw it as helping their campaign. This Sunday is interesting in that three of the four principals are doing Sunday shows, the lone holdout: Palin.

It is not speculation that she has not spoken directly to reporters since the announcement. I think it is speculation to say she will not talk directly to them and answer questions in a press conference type gathering. If she does it will not play well with the American public. I do think she will receive lots and lots of coaching before she is 'turned loose'. But that is true of any politician.

Well you are kind of wrong. I am still undecided and will remain so until very close the election. I care a lot of what all of the candidates think and I want to know what their thinking is before making a decision. If she is muzzled up until the election that will be one of many factors I will consider. Amazing as it may seem to some conservatives and liberals there are those of us in the middle who do not blindly follow a party. We do consider both sides a before making a decision. It seems only prudent to me to do so.

All I have to say is, "Y'all want some cheese with that WHINE?"

The media is still mad cause she snuck in under the radar and they cannot (so far) find any real dirt on her. They will find something soon enough. Of course it will be a blown out of porportion 'something'.

When she does speak- look out!

She is reading the same exact speech in Wisconsin on TV as we speak. All I am hearing so far is her motovational speech.

Since when was it a requirement for a VP candidate to have a "serious issue interview"? And why do you care Ken? You have already professed your support for Ron Paul/Fred Thompson/Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama. Why do you care what a pro-life VP candidate says? Of course, you may be supporting her by then ... no one knows.

Tis si what I meant, I probably was not clear.
All politicains and their spouses are coached on how to ahndle the press, what to say and not say, and if theyhave children who will do any public speaking or interview, they are also coached.
So it's nothing new if she is.

I don't blindly follow. I just don't follow baby killers and pro homosexual marriage supports.
