Sept. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is bringing in campaign cash for the Democrats as well as her own party.

Barack Obama, 47, reported raising at least $10 million from more than 130,000 donors today after Palin, the Alaska governor, addressed the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, and criticized the Democratic presidential nominee.

I doubt it is running scared. Rather extreme statements like this one really is not a thoughtful reply. My guess is that rather than running scared it shows that many people heard her speach and thought, "Disasterous if she becomes VP" and sent in money. Now same is true on the other side. Conservatives heard her speech and thought, "Good woman. I'm for her," and sent in money. I find nothing surprising that money is flowing to both sides after her speech.
