Ummm, yes you were. If I were on meds, I wouldn't have been able to pick up my brand new toy, a shiny stainless steel Springfield Armory 1911 .45 A1. And she is a beauty. I have always wanted one, and now I have one. [fist in air] I rule.

And you posted this, and waited to pounce on the first person who mentioned the Biblical mandate against women preachers. You admitted as much.

I am not intending to diminish the crime of murder, that fact is a travesty. However, I must comment that she was not a pastor and there was no church. I do not make the argument based on her gender but rather on the fact that there were no members. A shepherd without sheep is not a shepherd. This woman faithfully went to a 'building' every Sunday in hopes that someone would show up. If I read the article correctly, nobody ever attended. Therefore it was not a church (2 or more gathered principal) and she was not a pastor (no sheep).

Matt Wade...

"Correction...woman mudered in Oklamhoma. She was not a pastor.

Did you not read it???

Here it is...

(bolding mine)

"ANADARKO, Okla. (AP) — Pastor Carol Daniels made the 60-mile trek from Oklahoma City to Anadarko every week to preach, though many times her car might be the only one parked outside the Christ Holy Sanctified Church.

She was identified as a Pastor.

"Charlesetta Dunlap, Daniels' mother, said her daughter spent most of her time helping others and went to Anadarko consistently "with the expectation of someone wanting to seek the Lord."

"She felt that if she was there it gave them the opportunity," Dunlap said Monday.

Sounds like a wonderful pastor to me. I'm sure she has heard "Well done, good and faithful servant" by now, and received her rewards.

Amen! I was not baiting as Curtis is imagining. I just knew that someone would quickly pipe up with that off topic comment. May God comfort her family and friends.

'good' by whose standards, while misleading people.
many people do 'good', but it is not eternally 'good', and when a person refuses scripture, and misleads people while doing so, how much 'good' have they done.
mans version of 'good' is not God's version of 'good'. violating scripture on purpose, misleading people inot believeing it is ok to violate scripture is never 'good'.

The woman is dead, and did much good in her community. Give it a rest.

The woman was foolish for going to an empty 'building' by herself every Sunday in a dangerous neighborhood surrounded by abandoned homes and businesses, and homeless addicts and thugs.

What good things did she accomplish in that community?

She had no congregation, she pastored nobody, there was no church (ie the people). The church building would have been considered abandoned, except for her weekly visits, when she preached to nobody.

Self-righteous bigots who do little themselves cannot understand reason. They can only condemn their fellow human beings, even in death. Truly sad.

You were given a biblical challenge in another thread. Are you going to answer it, or will you just continue to berate those of us who do believe the bible is more than just fairy tales, with a few terrorist threats thrown in ? RD White has also asked great questions. You leave them alone, predictably. What reason are we missing ?

I'm glad we didn't let you down. Women are not to be pastors, and this woman seems to display all the good sense Rachel Corrie did, right before her demise. Again, the power of reason tells us not to send an unarmed woman into a dangerous neighborhood alone. I have no problem saying this woman was doing HER work, not the Lord's.

And it's quite a laugh to hear you talk of us condemning people. You arethe most self-righteous poster on this board.

Oh yeah, I hope they catch the creep and kill it.

Lady Eagle, some of us anxiously await the time when you have managed to rid your computer of the malicious virus/worm/trojan that has infected it, so that you return and be able to close these types of threads when they have reached the three page limit.

Please hurry back. You are missed.

I must have missed these "great questions". Give me a link, and I will decide if they deserve an answer.

You continue to derail this thread. Women as pastors is not the topic here. Start a thread on that if you feel you want to debate it for the upteenth time.

Wow... is all I can say...

Well, NO>. it's not all I can say.. It just amazes me of the callousness of some. I don't care if it was a Roman Catholic Priest, a Mormon Pastor, whomever.. . A MURDER WAS COMMITTED, and some here want to condemn the victim.

I wonder which pastor could be next? I mean, is this a serial thing? I read last night where some are afraid it is.... and it doesn't matter if she is a woman at this point.. this Child of God has gone home. And some sit here and debate on what she did in life (which was help others)... and call it bad...

Thank God that He has the final say.

You know well where they are.

Not derailing anything. My feeling is the woman should not have been there. She put herself in a very dangerous situation, disobeying scripture to do so.

As far as anything else goes, I hope I die while sharing the gospel, and people feel good about it. I hope I don't die while I'm doing something against the Lord's will.
