"Permanent" Temporary Speaker Idea Being Seriously Considered by U.S. House

Jim Jordan will not try a third vote today but is supporting the McHenry “permanent" temporary speaker idea, and try later to gather support for himself.

That would have to be the most House-brand move ever:

- Can’t deal with the budget deficit - kick the can down the road.
- Can’t deal with the national debt - kick the can down the road.
- Can’t get spending under control - kick the can down the road.
- Now that they can’t elect a speaker - kick the can down the road.

The House should just take their act around the country as a circus act with lots of clowns.

Well, now Jim Jordan has said that the McHenry idea has fallen by the wayside and now he plans to go for a third bite at the speakership apple.
