Phil Valentine - RIP

I haven't listened to political talk shows for some time, but Phil was a favorite. Keep his family in your prayers.

I guess he was perhaps a more local talk show hosts.

One of my favorite quotes from him is:

You don’t right the wrongs of the past by wronging the people of the present.

He was a conservative Christian.

I wish more here knew of the man. He was often a voice of reason. His show was "The Phil Valentine Show" and he broadcasted out of Nashville.

It bothers me that his last thoughts was regret. People make mistakes. He seemed (by his comments) to believe he would have an opportunity to correct some of these but never had the opportunity. I cannot imagine the feeling he must have that his words damaged his audience. He was in a unique position, able to influence those who tuned in to his show.

I just keep thinking - we do not know when God will call us home. We need to live every minute as if it is our last. We all make mistakes, and none of us are guaranteed a future to set things right.
