Is this a problem? If so, why?

I agree. Minimum wages are a farce, a redistribution of wealth... so are border taxes and price controls... so what if it costs more for bread here in the US than in the Middle East or for rice here than in China?

Why should Americans live better than 3rd world countries? Especially when it puts the rich out of less than 1/10 of 1/100 of their wealth!

    Those greedy peons!

I forget where or when, but this is a true story.

After Church a family of Christians ate out at a restaurant. They informed the waitress ahead of time that they did not tip on Sundays because it encouraged people to work on the Lord's day.

The manager heard this and took over the wait duties himself. He apparently was too professional to tell those hypocrites what he thought.

Later the waitress asked why he waited the table. He told her, you have to work Sundays, it's not like you have a choice. And if those people really believed what they said, they would not have eaten out on a Sunday or go to the show or whatever else they do where someone has to cover a shift so they can do it on a Sunday.

Footnote, if we were to truly open the books and take a hard look at the distribution of wealth in America there would be lots of criminal charges against the people with means! Especially in the restaurant business.

People with means bellyaching over people without means wanting only to make a decent living really gets under my skin!

    1) then they have no business eating on Sunday
    2) then they should not buy gas on Sunday
    3) If they are trying to keep the 10 Commandments - then they should observe the Sabbath on Sat
    4) can they show me in the Bible-specifically the New Testament - that it is wrong to work on Sunday
