Podesta has apologized for his crude insult but it turns out that Jim Jones was really big friends with the Democrats:
California Assemblyman Willie Brown, Jerry Brown, Walter Mondale, Rosalyn Carter, Joseph Califano, George Moscone--all appeared with Jones or praised him.
Jim Jones, apparently, was a card-carrying member of the Communist Party.
