Police officer shot a good samaritian....

That is sad all the way around.

Someone once asked what possible use a law biding citizen might have to own Body Armor … now we know it is to survive being accidentally shot by the police when they are “not wrong” for shooting law biding citizens.

 

I saw this story. The Good Samaritan shot and killed the active shooter. He then picked up the rifle and dropped the magazine. How long he was holding the rifle before being shot is unclear.

If the bad guy is down/dead, probably a good idea to keep your own hands free of weapons as police arrive.

Very tragic indeed.

If the shooter is dead, why in blazes would the guy even THINK about picking up the gun!?!?!? Surely he (the hero) did not think the gun was going to keep shooting,
(But then again, if he had been exposed to many dems, that just may be what he was trying to prevent!?!?)

 

Unless the hero was a doctor and had examined the man, he wouldn’t know if he was dead/dying or just temporarily unconscious.

I can see moving the weapon from his immediate location, just to keep it out of reach.

Had he been performing CPR, it might have not occurred.
